A VILLAGE OUTREACH PROJECT PROPOSED BY THE BRAHMA KUMARIS GLOBAL PEACE HOUSE IN COLLABORATION WITH THE PAMPLEMOUSSES & RIVIERE DU REMPARY DISTRICT COUNCIL.
Date & Time: Sunday 23 June, 2013 at 3.00 p.m.
Venue: Farmers Service Centre, Royal Rd, Goodlands, Mauritius.
The function will be graced by the following Chief Guests:
(1) Hon Mukeshwar Choonee - Minister of Arts and Culture,
(2) Hon Lormus Bundhoo - Minister of Health and Quality of Life,
(3) Mr Oodaye Bahadoor - M.S.K. – Chairperson of District Council of Rivière du Rempart
Other eminent personalities will also be present.
A cultural programme is scheduled followed by a drawing of lots for attributing a value to each village.
Refreshments will be served at the end.
‘Donne nou Vilaz so Valer’ is a values-based project whose aims and objectives are as follows:
- Sensitise and promote values in daily activities
- Propose Values as a tool to combat social ills
- Instill a sense of self-respect and pride in each inhabitant
- Build a common platform to strengthen intercultural bonds
- Most importantly to “add a value” to the existing name of a village/cluster.
