As a “rainbow” family of individuals from all walks of life, the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University provides a nurturing and supportive environment, which encourages inner growth and a personal contribution towards making a better world. We teach a practical method of meditation called Raja Yoga, which is relaxing, refreshing and clearing the mind and heart. The teachings are based on the understanding that the intrinsic nature of the human soul is goodness. It helps the individual to explore and understand the inner nature of the self and the Divine, spiritual principles and practical application of higher values.
It is through self-knowledge that we can develop a deeper sense of self-esteem, which becomes the anchor for inner stability through periods of uncertainty and change. These teachings and method of meditation acknowledges that the foundation for sustainable outer change is inextricably dependent on deep inner change.
The University regularly participates and hosts conferences, seminars, retreats, workshops and dialogues focusing on peace, positive thinking, stress free living, values based leadership and a spiritual approach to current issues.
These programs aim to enable an integration of your spiritual identity with the social and physical realities around you, restoring a healthy balance between your inner and outer worlds.
Students of the University volunteer their time, skills and resources to offer courses to the local communities as a personal contribution towards making a difference for a better world.
