Believing that things of the spirit should be accessible to everyone, the BKs offer their facilities on the basis of voluntary contributions from individuals who feel they have taken personal benefit from attending BK courses and other programs.
Additionally the Brahma Kumaris venues are run by many volunteers.
Financial Contributions
You can make a financial contribution using the following methods:
- at any of our venues
- through internet banking - for bank account details send an email by clicking here
- by cheque/money order - please make payable to: Brahma Kumaris Australia, including your name and address, and post to 77 Allen Street, Leichhardt NSW 2040.
Please specify if you would like to make your contribution to the "General Account" or to the "Building Account". For information on how these funds are used see below.
General Account
Contributions to the General Account help in the everyday operations of administering and maintaining the Brahma Kumaris services throughout Australia. Contributions to this account are not tax-deductible.
Building Account
Contributions to the Building Account help maintain the buildings and grounds of BK venues throughout Australia. Contributions to this account are tax-deductible. A receipt for taxation purposes will be issued at the end of the financial year.
Be a Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to help the Brahma Kumaris offer its services to the Australian community. Some benefits shared by volunteers include meeting new people and developing new skills. Whether helping in the gardens, kitchens or offices, hosting guests or using more specialised skills, individuals' contribution of time and skills is very welcome.
Contributions in Kind
Contributions in kind are accepted by the Brahma Kumaris according to specific needs. If you would like to contribute equipment in good condition or bulk consumables, for example, cleaning products or dry food, please see below.
Other contributions
An individual or organisation may be able to offer some other contribution to support the activities of the Brahma Kumaris in Australia.
