Om shanti. Never give sorrow, and never take sorrow. To give or take sorrow is a kind of violence against ourselves and others. Through my life I’ve kept this commitment. This principle applies to the natural world as well. Human beings are destroying nature, which has been giving us such comfort. Earth is our mother, and God is our Father. We don’t need to worship the Earth. We just need to give it love and respect.
