18 Chapters of the Gita

Love, betrayal, honour, jealousy, enlightenment, fear, forgiveness …just some of the emotions that run through the Gita – the ancient spiritual scripture of India.

Thousands of years ago, at a battlefield on the eve of the greatest war in history, one man had to battle the demons within as he faced the mighty enemy.

Arjuna, the finest archer in all the land, had a crisis of conscience. His charioteer, Lord Krishna, who refused to engage directly in the battle himself, told him the secrets of Raja Yoga.

So how exactly did Arjuna overcome his fears? That is the story that is laid out in the 18 chapters of the Gita.

How much do you know about the “greatest conversation in human history”?

Sister Sudesh is a wonderfully engaging storyteller, who has studied the Gita for over 40 years. She is one of the European co-ordinators of the Brahma Kumaris, now based in Germany.

Join her for an evening to discover the wisdom of one of India’s most sacred books.
