BKs in Worthing

Welcome to Brahma Kumaris in Worthing

The Lighthouse Retreat Centre, Worthing, occupies 3 of the grand Victorian houses on the Worthing sea front. The Lighthouse offers residential and day retreats as well as a variety of courses and self-development talks.

For residential retreats, The Lighthouse provides a quiet and intimate atmosphere ideal for the study of spirituality and time out from the hurly burly of modern living. The accommodation is modern and comfortable. Typically, bedrooms have twin beds with some single rooms available. All these rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

The residential retreats are for invited guests for programmes such as Raja Yoga meditation, silence weekends or other aspects of spiritual study. People come to learn new things about themselves, to enjoy inner silence, and to find peace of mind. All our retreats, workshops and courses are run by facilitators who have many years of experience as Raja Yoga meditators and as teachers. Descriptions of the retreats can be seen on our 'Courses and Events' web page.

The day retreats (open to the public, by invitation) are for introduction to meditation and spirituality in daily life and are very popular. Please refer to our courses web page for details.

For people in the area around The Lighthouse, courses are available such as Raja Yoga meditation, self-esteem, anger management and positive thinking. These are usually one or two sessions per week with 3 to 5 sessions for a course. These are described on our courses web pages.

Self development talks are held on Sunday afternoons with a wide variety of interesting subjects. We invite speakers from around the UK to give these talks.
