Hope in Health Care

Whole Health Care: Body and Soul
"In everyday life, at work, we are on the edge all the time. To meet these demands, we have to reflect on ways to sustain ourselves both as individuals and in the collective. The process we engage in for Hope in Health Care acknowledges both. It links the two from very inclusive, spiritual perspectives. I am conscious of continually bringing this link to the workplace."

Hope in Health Care This program incorporates health-care models from around the world, emphasizing the importance of caring for the whole person, using techniques such as reflection, relaxation, meditation, visualization, and values-based planning. Programs are held at on-site professional or off-site retreat settings, each with the aim of assisting health-care professionals to:

  • Care for the self in order to be a better caregiver.
  • Develop personal and work-life potential.
  • Restore and support morale and dignity in the health-care environment.
  • Strengthen the ability to provide critical care and transition-of-life care to the severely ill and dying.
Hope in Health Care is organized in close partnership with the Point of Life Foundation, established in the USA with the purpose of developing and participating in innovative programs in support of the quality of health care.
